‘hardware and fittings’

To complement and supplement the Foster Washrooms cubase™ HPL square edge and post-formed cubicles, a range of specially designed supports and fittings made to the same high quality standards as all other elements of the cubase™ system, are available for all cubicle layouts.

The standard hardware is manufactured from extruded, die cast and pressed aluminium (for integral strength and corrosion resistance), and allows great flexibility of design, ensuring that the completed installation is as functional and elegant as the original concept in every detail.

indicator bolts

Simple and practical, with only one moving part for added reliability. A rubber buffer is incorporated into the handle to prevent the door from slamming. The finger plate has a clear indicator and incorporates an emergency release which can be operated by authorised personnel without the need for special tools.

headrails

Provide strength and rigidity to the overall cubicle construction. They are vandal resistant and easy to clean. Square and post-formed designs have a colour matched laminate panel insert which ensures consistency with the overall design.

pivot hinges

Standard in all cases. Manufactured from aluminium with nylon cams to give a quiet, smooth action. They are adjustable to allow the door to fall open or closed and open either inwards or outwards, the latter is a particular benefit in cubicles for disabled people.

Safety was a primary design consideration – note, for example, that the hinge creates a gap between the door and pilaster to reduce the risk of trapped fingers. Doors fitted with these hinges are equipped to resist the worst efforts of vandals, but in an emergency, they can be lifted off by authorised personnel.

pedestals

Fitted under the partition and are strong, robust, easy to clean and to adjust both for the ground clearance and to accommodate uneven floors.

intermediate cleats (brackets)

Strong and are adjustable to accommodate misaligned walls. They incorporate anti-vandal, high tensile stainless steel bolts which are also corrosion resistant.

side wall cleats(brackets)

Designed to provide a discreet yet strong fixing of pilasters to side walls.

toilet roll holders

Available as an option. Practical and realistically priced, they incorporate an anti theft device.

All hardware supports and fittings are available with either powder coated, polished or satin anodised aluminium. All screw and bolt fittings are of stainless steel for maximum resistance to corrosion. All hardware supports and fittings are carefully protected and labelled to assist on-site storage and location.

A full range of Bobrick accessories are available to further enhance the design, enabling the designer to specify high quality products – grab handles for disabled people, toilet roll dispensers, hand dryers, soap dispensers and many other items – in the knowledge that they will complement the cubase™ system.
