cubase MFC

‘material properties’

panel construction

Cubase MFC panels are manufactured from moisture resistant melamine faced chipboard, which consists of a high density grade chipboard faced on both sides with a melamine impregnated decorative paper which has been bonded to the surface of the chipboard under high heat and pressure.

All panels with the exception of partitions and side wall pilasters are pre-drilled to accept hardware fittings – so the number of on site operations is minimised and completion of the installation is made more quickly and efficiently.

panel edge treatments

All edges of cubase MFC panel components are manufactured with 2mm thick pvc protective edge material which is available in a wide range of coordinating plain colours. All edges are provided with a radius curve for a smooth, safe finish. The material provides excellent impact resistance for the cubicle.

maintenance

No material is completely maintenance free, but the cubase system gets as near to it as practically possible. Most stains can be simply removed with a damp cloth and even more stubborn stains, such as oil or felt tip pen, will respond to a damp cloth and mild detergent or, if necessary, an organic solvent.

The panels are designed to be easily replaced in the unlikely event of damage. This interchangeability also makes it simple to change the colour of the panels during refurbishment. Similarly, material upgrades to achieve a change of the overall performance of the cubicle can be achieved.
