panel construction

Doors, partitions and pilasters are manufactured from 12mm thickness solid grade laminate which is a homogeneous black core laminate with a decorative surface to both sides.

All panels with the exception of partitions and side wall pilasters are pre-drilled to accept hardware fittings – so the number of on-site operations is minimised and completion of the installation is made more quickly and efficiently.

panel edge treatments

Solid grade laminate is so tough that it does not require any additional material treatment. Instead, the solid black edges can be machined and polished to an attractive, radius finish.

maintenance

No material is completely maintenance free, but the cubase™ system gets as near to it as practically possible. Most stains can be simply removed with a damp cloth and even more stubborn stains, such as oil or felt tip pen, will respond to a damp cloth and mild detergent or, if necessary, an organic solvent.

The panels are designed to resist the attention of vandals, but replacement panels are available in the event of severe or persistent abuse. This interchangeability also makes it simple to change the colour of the panels during refurbishment.
